I made it to my destination at 6 pm today. After tying the boat up and deflating the dingy, stowing gear and such, I had a beer with Capt. Gary (the fellow in the far left) who runs the Marina in Port Orange and his friends.

The wind has picked up to 15 to 18 here in biscayne bay. Its a slightly bumpy ride but im making 6.7 knots. Ill make Miami tonight.

Thursday Evening

I'm sitting here in the middle of Long Key Bight, doing email and taking care of business via my computer using my bluetooth phone wirelessly. Technology is finally starting to catch up to it's claims. It's after 10 and I just came back inside the boat after hearing something bang against the bottom of the boat and then "heavy breathing". It was a couple of dolphin playing around the boat in the darkness. As cool as it was - I'm glad I wasn't asleep yet - that would have been quite disconcerting. I plan to be underway around 6 am tomorrow and I hope to make it to just south of Miami.
